Royal Trek
So called because this was first used by HRH prince of wales Cgarles. This trek has been specially prepres for those who love to enjoy a
beautiful view and the Himalayan range in a comfortable way. The route
passes through gurung village on the ridgeline of the Annapurna foothill. Although the trek passes through relatively lower altitude, (below 2000m) it can provide a wonderful view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu and Himal Chuli. Due to its low altitude this
trek can be enjoyed in the winter also. The trek starts
Itinerary
1st Day: Pokhara – Bijayapur – Kalikastan
From Pokhara, drives to Bijayapur time take 45 minutes. At the place of Bijayapur, trail leads through the rice field and it passes with very easy ascending hill to Kalikastan (1370m). From Kalikastan one can see Annapurna range mountain views' including Fishtail (6996m). Walking time takes about 5 hours, overnight at camp.
2nd Day: Kalikastan – Shaklung (1730m)
From Kalikastan to Shaklung Mountain trail leads easy ascending and descending through the eight forests. Walking time takes about 5 hours, overnight at camp.
3rd Day: Shaklung – Chisapani
At the place of Shaklung to Chisapani (8300m) trekking, trail passes several villages through the descending and ascending mountain path. Walking time takes about 7 hours, overnight at camp.
4th Day: Chisapani – Begnas Lake – Pokhara
From Chisapani, trail descends steeply on the stone, into a small valley and stream that leads Rupa Lake. Finally to Begnas Lake, trail ascending and descending. From Begnas Lake, one can cross Begnas Lake through the boating to Begnas Bazaar. After Begnas, drives back to Pokhara. Walking time takes about 5 hours, overnight at camp.
