Shivapuri Day Hike is one of the popular hiking route to access national park of Kathmandu. Shivapuri offers scenic views of Langtang and other Himalayan Views, Kathmandu Valley, and Nagi Gompa and many more. You will hike through the green forest, mixed culture and terrace field. Shivapuri is situated at an elevation of 2563m and is the second highest hill in Kathmandu Valley after Phulchowki. The hike begin with a drive to Budhanilkantha, gateway to Shivapuri National Park. After your short visit, we can also walk up to Nagi Gompa and slowly downhill pathway to reach Kopan Gompa. Then drive back to Kathmandu from kopan ends the tour. The trail goes through pine and cherry forest up to Nagi Gompa, where a nunnery monastery is located. After explore around the monastery, we hike about two hours uphill ascending to the top of Shivapuri hill and follow the route to Kopan Monastery. Then, Drive back to Kathmandu by private vehicle.
